Hypnotize Me!

If you have ever heard of hypnosis you probably think of someone laying on a couch or sitting in a chair with another person, usually a doctor and psychologist hypnotizing them and talking them through their problems.  However, there are ways to induce self hypnosis get some of the same results.  Self-hypnosis can be done by listening to audio tapes, cds, or MP3’s and can be done in your car, home, or office.

Incorporating self hypnosis into your life is not difficult.  Finding a small amount of time to be alone and uninterrupted may seem challenging.  Picking a time and sticking to it every day will help you get over other problems that are a bigger hindrance your life like smoking or overeating. 

You can buy Self Hypnosis Tapes, CD's, or MP3’s, or you can actually have them made specifically for you and your specific problem.  This way you are being more directly target and the results will be longer lasting since they are specific for you.

Creating realistic goals prior to starting hypnosis will make accomplishing these goals easier and not as frustrating.  Some tips to remember are:

  • Make a list that goes from the most important to the least important goals to meet.  Keeping these organized and updated will also be a good way to keep track of which goals you are accomplishing and which you need to work on more.

  • Create suggestions that fit well with the intended goal and specific instructions to go along with it.  The words and instructions used need to make since to you and are something that is easy to remember also.

  • Remember to relax and keep an open mind; allow the hypnosis to work for you.  Staying tense and resisting the treatment will only make things more difficult and will not get you anywhere.  Stay open minded and let it work for you, if you did not want to make changes you would not be doing this in the first place.

  • Start the hypnosis by repeating your chosen words out loud and thinking them, saying them along with the audio tape will help make these words sink in.

  • Once the session is over with begin applying those suggestions immediately.  The sooner you start the better and the faster the intended goals will take place.

Remember, self hypnosis is a tool to use to improve your life and meet your intended goals.  Having an open mind and allowing these changes to take place will change your life and help you to meet the goals you have set out for yourself.  Training your body and mind to relax and allow you to be self hypnotized will make the process much easier and quicker.  Self hypnosis is a great tool to use to make changes and it only takes a few minutes a day to change your life!
